This is our classwork on what we have been studying in media (and for the music video)
This post is made by my teammate, Jocelyn.
Camera angles
(Made by my teacher) This is all the camera angles we learnt. Different camera angles produce different effects and feelings to the audience, it also further improves and enhances the watching experience.
Mise en scen
The mise en scen refers to what we as the audience visually see in the frame or scene. Some examples of a mise en scen are:
- props
- set design
- costume
- hair
- make up
- colour
- performance
- lighting
- blocking
- focus
- weather
- environment
Editing
Here are what we learnt on the different ways to edit scenes together
- Continuity Editing
- Montage Editing
- Parallel Editing (Cross-Cutting)
- Cutaways and Inserts
- Jump Cut
- Match Cut
- Crossfade (Dissolve)
- Cut to the Beat (Rhythmic Editing)
- Split Screen
- Flashback and Flashforward
Theories
(Made by my teacher) Here are the different theories we learnt
Self Reflection: These are all the element needed in order to produce a great music video, such as from camera, edits, mis en scene, and sound. From Mr Nick's lesson i definitely learned way more then without theories as most of the times it is great to start from theories and basics esp for our newest project music video, we would need to incorporate lots of elements into the music video as we are doing everything alone (unless asking for advice or inputs from Mr Nick).
